The ʿCouncil Elects the 28th Executive Committee

We are delighted to announce the results of the 28th Executive Committee (EC) election, held on 16 July 2025 at the ʿWorld Congress of Political Science in Seoul. We extend our warm congratulations to the newly elected EC members. 

The new EC will govern ʿduring the 2025–2027 term. We are confident that their collective expertise, vision, and dedication to the advancement of political science will contribute to IPSA’s continued growth and innovation.

Two new ex-officio roles have been introduced

WiPS Coordinator: Building on the 2024 pilot, the WiPS Coordinator will collaborate with RC Chairs and the Secretariat to design and implement the next round of sessions in 2026. For the EC term 2025-2027, Keiichi Kubo (Japan) will resume the role of WiPS Coordinator.

African Engagement Initiative Co-Chair: The Task Force on African Engagement will design and implement initiatives to enhance the participation of Africa-based scholars in IPSA. Its primary focus will be organizing online workshops, conducted in both English and French, for research and professional development. For the EC term 2025-2027, Serge Granger (Canada) will resume the role of Co-Chair for the Francophone activities.


The following 16 elected members of the Executive Committee will lead ʿfor the next two years. We look forward to the leadership of these prominent scholars as they advance IPSA’s mission over the coming term.
